Open Question: Shipping Rates To other Countries?
January 31, 2009 – 5:17 pmI am thinking about strating a jewelry business online and I have queries about shipping rates, so first here's some background info:
I'll be shipping little jewelry boxes with earrings or rings, necklaces in a 6 by 9 inch package, So...:
Shipping these things-is the only variable determining the shipping cost going to be the actual weight of the items, or is it the weight plus what area it's shipping to?-For example, if the weight adds up to $1.85, will that be the shipping cost or is a dollar added for shipping to California, or $ is added if shipping to Canada?; Does it cost more to ship to Alaska and Hawaii since it's overseas? What about shipping to Canada? What about international-Should I put a disclaimer that says will not ship to Europe, Australia or if it's $1.85 for the weight, is that it-there's no additional cost for shipping to Europe, etc?
