Open Question: My new piercing is red and leaking pus?
July 30, 2009 – 9:18 pmI got the Monroe piercing last Tues and the swelling is already cleared but the area around the jewelry is red and it is constantly leaking out pus which dries up and become itchy and uncomfortable. I want to change the jewelry since the longer post is annoying but my piercer told me to wait a month for all the inflammation to clear. Is this a normal reaction? Is there anything I can use topically to reduce the redness and pussing?
