One Response to “Open Question: LABRET JEWELRY!!!!!!!!!!!?”
Theres is no doubt : Any type of plastic will be better than metal against your teet and gums due to its mass.
For Bioplast, plastic and rubber, I would keep away from it, as they are coming from Asia, and the lack of European or American certification for compliance on medical use is non exixtant. Many Asian companies in the body jewelry industry are out there to make a fast buck, and do not care about your health, and even body art. I have seen many either lying about the material or selling a copy of the BioFlex with some cheap materials showing moulded lines that can irritate your piercings.
Really, after many years of passion for piercing and jewellery, I strongly recommend the genuine BioFlex made in Europe which complies to European pharmacopaeia regulations and has successfully passed the USP Class VI biocompatibility tests from the FDA in America.
It is a material which has a proven track record, an excellent feedback reviews all over the internet, and that is generally sold at the same price as Asian “Unknown” materials, and somtimes cheaper.
Why put your health at risk ?
On top of that, the range of BioFlex propose each and every size of labret jewelry, internal or external, and you can even chose the size of the disc, so you can make sure your Monroe or madonna labret is the right size for your piercing and that the tiny jewelled disc sits nice and flat on your skin, without poking out. The Bioflex labrets are also used for ear cartilage and lobe piercings…
So good luck with your piercing, and choose widely !
