Open Question: is this dress appropriate for a guest at a wedding?
March 11, 2010 – 11:17 pmMy boyfriend's brother is getting married this weekend. He's in the wedding party and I'm attending as a guest. The "I do's" will take place in a church, and then the reception will somewhere be at night.
I purchased a knee-length sundress with black halter straps, black under bust section that ties in the back, and beautiful shades of pink, purple, and orange flowers outlined in black on a white background. I plan to wear basic black peep-toe heels with black jewelry.
I tried to stay away from "safe" colors such as anything with checkers, polka-dots, stripped, etc. that's black and white...mostly because the bridesmaid's dresses are black.
is this dress appropriate for a wedding?
I live in south Florida
I also didn't want to wear a cocktail dress or party dress...mostly due to the fact most are designed to show too much leg or boobage.
The both sides of the family are very conservative.
