Open Question: Is this convincing enough?
January 31, 2010 – 7:17 ambelow is a letter to a Gm asking him to exchange item A for item B.
Item A can only be used on mages and Item B can only be used on warriors.
In this game you can change you profession/class and I purchased the wrong item. . please tell me if this is convincing enough? (any improvements?)
Hello Ghixia,
I would like to know why you don't exchange the item?
As mentioned before I accidentally purchased the item thinking it would be compatible with the this profession (I had a friend tell me it would work)
I do admit that I made the mistake, but GM's have compensated clients in the past when the the player stuffed up.
Several examples come to mind showing that GM's can bypass policy in extenuating circumstances when someone makes a genuine mistake.
If you can: recovery deleted items, give money back when someone accidentally went way over the cap, exchange items when they purchase the wrong one; exchanging the items doesnt seem like a stretch
By exchanging the item I am given no advantage in game, only a personal preference and redemption for my mistake. I worked extremely hard for months trying to pull groups together, on a nearly dead server (and for those players that are on they are usually VETS who already have their jewelry), I even changed my profession and stayed up until early morning, hoping it would help. It is hard to get groups at the best of times and getting this item was my hardest/greatest accomplishment, until I discovered it wouldn't work as a mage. Unfortunately I can't see myself playing this game much longer if I have to go through that again.
I have been a paying customer of this product for a long time now and I plan to stay for a lot longer if you can provide me with this reasonable request.I really enjoy this game and it has been my only escape from my crap life.
Please, please, please help me Ghixia
that's possible shaggy, but the GM's in this game can break policy if you place forward a convincing enough argument.
Like with anything that has a governing body, flexible policy = happy citizens
Although I think you right in reconstructing the opening
thanks for your input Ken,
I'm still going to try and convince them (and its not WOW).
I had a friend battle it out with a GM for over a month. In the end he got what he wanted
